Chasing storms

I have discovered a new love for photographing storms.. right now I have just been practicing shots, settings and timing in my front lawn when a decent storm comes my way.

There is something about the gratification you receive when you are watching the lighting strike happen in real time, only to see your camera captured that moment too. A photo essentially stops time for that moment, but in the end allows it to live on.

Every lighting strike is different and unique, so every shot is something new. I’ll be watching the weather and going out to a beautiful spot with my tripod to wait and see what shots I can get. For now, you gets can enjoy my practice shots.

Please make sure you follow the blog if you enjoy my content 🙂

Hubby took this one. 😍
